Recruit a new GSA member and you’ll be entered into a monthly drawing for a $25 Amazon gift card! Each recruit qualifies you for an entry in the drawing -- recruit one new member, get one entry in the drawing; recruit three new members, get three entries.

Do you remember how you first learned about GSA?

Chances are you heard about us from an advisor or colleague. That referral led to your membership in GSA and likely connected you with leading scholars in the field of aging who inspired, supported and mentored you on your professional journey. Help us spread the word!

Program Details

Every time a member recruits a new member for GSA, he or she will be entered into a monthly drawing for a $25 Amazon gift card! Each additional referral qualifies for another entry in the contest.

Only current GSA members are eligible for prizes.

In order to be eligible for the drawings your name must be entered on the "if referred by GSA member" part of the online or paper application.

Although previous members can be recruited, they cannot have been a GSA member for the previous two years.

Renewing members cannot be recruited.

Students are eligible both for recruitment and for entering the contest.

Winners of the monthly and grand prize drawings will be picked randomly and will be notified by email.

Tips for Recruiting New Members

Send an email to a friend or colleague.
Use social media to promote the member benefits you receive from GSA. Check out the member referral program toolkit below for specific topics and ideas to promote in social media.
Invite a colleague to participate in a GSA webinar.
Search the GSA Member Directory on GSA Connect to see who’s missing.

Publish an article in your workplace e-newsletter about GSA.
Make announcements about the value of GSA membership in weekly/monthly staff meetings.
Share an interesting article from one of GSA’s five scholarly journals.
Follow up to see if your contacts have any questions and encourage them to join.

Invite them to GSA’s Annual Scientific Meeting.
